Uncharted 3 – Review

So, after so much praise Uncharted 2 received how does the sequel stands up?

La Piel que Habito – Review

I must confess I’ve never been much eager to watch Pedro Almodóvar’s movies, not out out of prejudice but the plot in some of his movies I’ve looked into never appealed to me.

So how did I end up watching his latest movie The Skin I Live In (La Piel que Habito in original) you might ask? I got an invitation, read the resumé of the movie for about seven times until I decided, thinking it should be “okay”. Little did I know I was in for a unique experience!

This is a hard movie to talk about without spoiling something, so I’ll say as little as possible.
The movie stars Antonio Banderas, who plays a respect surgeon and has in his house, hidden from everyone else a woman on who he does some skins test has been obsessed with since the death of his wife.

A little too short of an introduction, I know, but believe me, you’ll thank me later I didn’t spoil you anything.
This movie wastes no time in getting you hooked up into its fabulous plot. Not only it’s mysterious and shady, you later in get a flash back that gives the movie a complete new perspective and it ends with a brilliant and touching ending.

I truly have no words to how much I enjoyed this movie. I can’t say much praise it will get but if anything, it’s unique and by far the best movie I’ve seen in this year of 2011.
If you like movies, a good story, something unusual, well played characters and even a little more, you should definitively watch this movie!

Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark – Review

I didn’t know much about this movie when I decided to watch it but I heard it had the hand of Guillermo del Toro, the man responsable for Pan’s Labyrinth, so I certainly wanted to check it out.

The Legend of Zelda is without doubt one of the most beloved franchises in existence, so when someone decides to play a game so loved such a long time after it’s been released this person should be caution to not create expectations far too high.

Limitless – Review

Limitless was a movie I remember seeing the trailer in the movies, thought it might be interesting and when I finally got my chances of watching it I was quickly thrilled!

This movie is about a regular guy named Eddie. He’s a writer who doesn’t write, looks like he’s had a bad night of sleep for a month straight. To put it short his life is a mess, that is until he meets a person he knew from a long time ago and decided to help him by giving him a pill which enhances the use of a person’s brain. To put it simply, the person who uses it becomes competent at pretty much everything they decide to do. Once the protagonist starts using the pills the movie starts getting fast but still at a good pace so you can keep up with everything that is happening.

Black Swan – Review

It’s so hard when you hear so many good things about a movie because you create an expectation about it and if this becomes too big the movie becomes a let down.
Fortunately this is NOT the case with Black Swan which I recently watched.

Final Fantasy XIII Reviews

Incredible music, fast paced combat, plot and characters that are perfect together make this one a must play !

First I have to say straight out: This game is Amazing! Sure I was already with high expectations for it even before playing it, but even so, it still blew me away.

Without going deep into the game I’m going to mention what I like about the game itself before going into some technical aspects.

This game has the best party in any other game of the Final Fantasy franchise.

Mass Effect 2 Review

I should start by saying that Mass Effect 2 is an incredible game, one of the best I have ever played. It’s such an unique experience that it is hard to compare. It’s not without its flaws but the good things easily surpass whatever could’ve been better in the game.
