I’m far from being a big God of War fan. I’ve beaten the first and third installment, and played halfway through the second; and while I think they are good action games they were never on my list of favorites. It’s not to the detriment of the games because I just prefer the eastern way of approaching to combat in the likes of Devil May Cry, Bayonetta and Ninja Gaiden, but as far as western action games go I honestly thin hey were among the top.
With that said, I’ll share here my thoughts about the many aspects of Gof of War (2018) and why I think it’s a very good game but (and I’m sorry here fans) not even close to the masterpiece some are claiming it to be. Just bear in mind that in the end of the day these are just my opinions and while I don’t think the game to be flawless I still think it is by far the best in the franchise. Continue reading
10. Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice
My number ten was the only game on this list I didn’t truly enjoy. It does, in my opinion, have as many good qualities as it has bad ones. Continue reading
The Evil Within it a difficult game to judge. At times is it was very good but at others it was infuriating. Regardless of its flaws, I think that for survival horror fans this is a game that should not be missed.
For this review I’ll try to talk about how I felt about the game in general, so there might be spoilers here and there. Since I think the story is not that great, there isn’t much to spoil but this is my warning. Continue reading
After five months playing Persona 5 I have finally beat it. I also decided to give a few weeks to let everything sink in in order to write a fair review. The reason I’m doing this is because I love it so much I want to try to remove the hype factor but honestly I think it’s impossible now because of how much I enjoyed it.
With so much to cover I don’t think I know where to begin from, so let’s go in order this time and start with the story. Continue reading
Like I mentioned in my last post, I played two games on my PlayStation 4 while waiting for the release of Persona 5. One was a fantastic surprise, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. The other was a huge disappointment and I’m sad to say that the disappointing one was Mass Effect Andromeda.
First thing worth mentioning is that Mass Effect Andromeda is by no means a bad game, it’s just a big let down. Considering how incrementally better each of the previous games were I think it’s safe to say fans were expecting it to be at least on the same level of Mass Effect 3 (minus the ending). And this is on my opinion the biggest fault of this game, as aside from a few things, it feels worse in every way. Continue reading
After ten years in production that long time awaited Final Fantasy XV has arrived in November 29, 2016. as a longtime fan and being Final Fantasy my favorite series in videogames and Final Fantasy VII being my all time favorite game, I took my sweet time to play it to completion.
With such a legacy standing behind it, so many memorable stories, characters and worlds throughout the series and most of all, the very controversial reception to Final Fantasy XIII, this game had a lot to prove right from the get go. So, how did it do?
Resident Evil is among my favorite franchises for many years, together with Final Fantasy and Metal Gear. After The action packed Resident Evil 5 and the disaster that is Resident Evil 6, combined with Capcom DLC practices in recent years I have to admit I’ve had little faith this franchise would once again be a shadow of what it once was. This is one of those days I love to be wrong! The daddy of survival horror is back!
The story starts with you receiving a message from your loved one, Mia, which has been missing from the past 3 years. You go look for her in this strange house in Louisiana where strange things start to happen. Continue reading
